About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager on the GSE Watchlist team. This team member will be responsible for the ongoing risk assessment and risk reporting of a portfolio of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans. The Portfolio Manager performs all functions associated with monitoring the performance of a multifamily loan throughout its life, commencing with the initial funding and continuing until satisfaction of the debt or transfer to a special servicer pursuant to investor guidelines. In this role, you will: Manage overall asset management of an assigned portfolio of GSE Watchlist commercial real estate loans consisting of Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac/CME multifamily loans Develop and demonstrate acumen for the identification of risks and mitigants Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in driving the company credit culture, desire, and business performance for Credit Risk Make decisions and resolve issues related to business operations Collaborate with team and other departments to resolve credit issues Responsible for the measurement and reporting of credit risk across WFMC Be responsible for aggregate portfolio risk reporting and preparation of committee materials Implement expertise as subject matter professional with a thorough understanding of reporting requirements, end to end reporting processes, and data needed to deliver accurate and complete portfolio reporting. Focus on investigating, monitoring, negotiating and resolving distressed multifamily loans. Assess creditworthiness of borrowers and value of collateral value with disrupted cash flows Asset Management functions include monitoring, analyzing, and reporting property level operating performance, risk ratings, performing property physical inspections/assessment of on-site management staff/local market conditions, watchlist monitoring, and processing of lender consents Required Qualifications, US: 7+ years of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: 7+ years demonstrating a high-level skill set that encompasses financial analysis, real estate and property management operations, market knowledge, knowledge of mortgage and legal documents, and credit risk analysis Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions Familiarity with highly structured loan transactions, preferably credit facilities that feature substitution and release provisions Competence with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac multifamily asset management technology tools Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit and income producing real estate Ability to read and understand complex commercial real estate loan documentation and securitization documents, including pooling and servicing agreements and related documentation Exposure to multifamily real estate development, property management and/or underwriting Excellent Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) skills with advanced Excel capabilities Have good understanding of Financial Statements and activities relating to Financial/Credit Analysis Demonstrated understanding of valuation and discounted present value concepts Job Expectations: Ability to travel as needed Ability to work additional hours as needed Base pay range for this position in New York and California is 122,000.00 - 217,200.00 USD May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards Posting Locations: 550 South Tryon St, Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 500 W. 33rd St, New York, New York 10001 1751 1753 Pinnacle Dr., McLean, VA 22102 2030 Main St, Irvine, CA 92614 Required locations listed above.
