With our company's diverse multi-product assortment across so many home categories, we can provide excellent offerings and service to our retail partners while responding quickly to the ever-changing needs of the marketplace and how consumers shop.The role of the Digital Merchandising Development Assistant will work with the Director to help facilitate and guide the ENPD - eCommerce New Product Development timeline process, ensuring on-time seasonal launches. This individual will work collaboratively with the rest of the Digital Merchandising team, studio team, sales team, planning team and internal product development, sourcing and design teams. The mission of the role is to fully assist the Director of Digital Merchandising, Development and functions to research, create, manage and promote the products that will drive the future of our brands and ecommerce sales. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, extremely detail-oriented, skilled in communication, and can manage multiple projects collaboratively with time sensitive deadlines. This individual will mainly work from our Glen Rock, NJ office but must be flexible to commute into NYC office on less-frequent occasions (to review samples and attend key meetings). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Digital Merchandising Development Assistant is responsible for working collaboratively to assist in both executing and tracking the strategy, creation, distribution, and publication of new and existing product development across owned sites and partner sites. Assist the Director of Digital Merchandising Development throughout the ENPD process. Participate in building new seasonal assortment launches for eCommerce, based on research, trends, opportunity/retailer analysis and other strategic methods.Own the ENPD approval process by coordinating, following up, tracking, and gathering design, cost, samples, compliant certifications, and packaging requests.Review pre-production/design/market samples with Digital Merchandising Development Director, Digital Creative Director, and Digital Merchandise Digital Shelf Director. Gather notes and follow up with design and/or sourcing teams. Help facilitate, initiate and follow-up on internal item setup requests, being the eyes/ears of keeping item master data pure and correct. Gather data and compliant certifications/letters and fill the template for PIM - Product Information Management and keep compliant certificates up to date. Review Top of Production (TOP) samples and/or Buyer Approval Samples (BAS) against approved design samples Store, organize, and maintain physical sample library, along with helping assess cost and value. Work cross-functionally and guide ENPD to ensure milestones are met for on-time product launches. Create production timelines and send PO requests to Planning and/or Production teams. Follow through the production timelines and ensure on-time product launches and advise the Digital Team on any major timeline changes. Update daily to weekly the ENPD Roadmap by PO level and the sample tracker by sku level. Update monthly sku statuses from the PIM. Assist with production running changes in packaging, product design, construction and/or vendor. Assist in building presentation materials, and proofread packaging artwork. Assist in product costing and conducting competitive analysis in-store and online for pricing, merchandise assortment, branding and content. Coordinate running changes: product design, colors, packaging etc Requirements:QualificationsCollege Degree, with experience in complex process management, project management, product development or item setup & creation Meticulous attention to detail and organization, knowledge of soft home and consumer goods is a serious bonus Excellent time management skills with ability to work within tight or changing deadlines Possess a creative mindset with excellent communication and project management skills Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment, with a passion for problem solving Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, marketing tools, and able to pick up new technologies quickly Experience working within project or task management tools is preferred (Jira, Monday, etc) Experience in sourcing, production, design and/or manufacturing processes is preferred Experience working within an eCommerce and/or digital retail environment is preferred.
