As a Structured Trade Sales Associate in J.P. Morgan Commercial Banking Trade and Working Capital Origination team you will support the Trade Sales Officer in the development and sale of Trade & Working Capital products to target market clients. You will primarily provide support to Trade Sales Officers (TSOs) in providing the best Trade and Working Capital advice and solutions to our clients. You will also align with internal stakeholders engaging in the superior execution and development of client solutions / transactions as well as develop skills over time for a successful career within the firm and to pursue more senior roles within the Trade &Working Capital business such as a Trade Sales Officer position.Job Responsibilities: Work with the TSO to professionally and swiftly address in-bound client queries and provide the highest quality customer service Expand the portfolio of Trade Finance relationships while developing a database of major importers and exporters and constructively engage with these clients on Trade Finance solutions Act as point of contact for Exporters and Trade Finance beneficiaries transacting with the bank and possess the ability to discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions. Understand competitor products and positioning and identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more cost-effective delivery channels Prepare Trade Finance and beneficiary marketing plans aligned with the Trade Finance strategy and work in conjunction with Relationship Teams and riskmanagement in order to identify and satisfy exporter/customer needs and to achieve revenue, asset growth and asset quality targets Assist in development client proposals across all traditional trade products, cost/benefit analysis, pricing and profitability models, etc. Assist with client call preparation by creating client review materials, pitch books, account plans, and conducting customer research Understand clients' Treasury structure and objectives Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all transactions from time of sale to delivery. Develop and understand competitors' products and positioning within the client & market Work with TSOs throughout the sales cycle to manage pipeline and ensure services and pricing are set up timely and accurately Required Skills, Qualifications and Capabilities: Bachelor's Degree 2 years of Trade / Operations background An independent, self-motivated, resilient, high energy performer able to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the Traditional Trade products, Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Finance & Purchase, and Export Finance / Export Credit Agency products preferred, and a desire to learn is a requirement. Understanding of credit and the credit process. Demonstrates the ability to understand Trade products, pricing philosophy, and billing process and proceduresPreferred Skills, Qualifications and Capabilities: Strong ambition to develop into an individual contributor salesperson Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to mobilize internal networks and resources Time management, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills
