Responsibilities The Clinical Account Manager role is a technical sales role focused on clientele within hospitals and similar settings and is responsible for leading the promotion and sale of cell therapy services. This role requires technical understanding of the cell therapy and cellular collection and apheresis services key to hospital clients, strategic and consistent delivery of customer support and satisfaction, while managing and driving customer consultation and partnership to achieve growth goals within the assigned territory. This individual will be directly responsible for becoming familiar with, promoting, and closing Comprehensive Cell Solutions' (CCS)) cell and gene therapy and apheresis service offerings, including contract manufacturing and clinical apheresis services. In this role, you will interact with cross-functional stakeholders to build the territory, revenue, and business. You will develop strong relationships with your customers and proactively seek insight to understand their needs for additional services which we might consider developing and adding to our service portfolio. In this New York base role, you will: Increasing sales and expanding services offered within existing client accounts. Prospecting and adding new accounts in the assigned territory. A major component of the job will require scouting for new customers and presenting CCS's unique CDMO cell therapy and apheresis capabilities to account decision-makers and all levels within target client organizations. Coordinating with NYBC and CCS leadership, other sales team members across business units and service delivery teams to expand existing partnerships and close new business worth several million dollars each. Partner with SMEs and teams across all NYBC business units and coordinate activities such as quote and proposal generation, technical support, site visits and managing key opinion leader relationships needed for business growth. Identify and qualify customers through the development of key account plans, in assigned territory to meet and exceed sales targets by building relationships with key decision makers, including senior management. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of CCS' capabilities and services, as well as those of major competitors, and target customers that have potential for our services. Maintain ongoing contacts with prospective and current customers to increase business growth, and provide accurate and detailed activity, sales and account plans to be reported to management on a regular basis (SFDC management). Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across multiple company business units. Conduct and report industry-related market research, to identify potential new customers and industry trends. Constructively communicate customer feedback to internal teams to continue service improvement and optimization processes. Participate in industry trade shows and related promotional efforts. Expand territory responsibilities as and when requested and needed. Qualifications Education:Bachelor's degree in the life sciences is required. An advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Nursing, Medical Technology, Pharmacology, or related discipline is highly preferred. Experience:5+ years' experience in service sales/business development technical sales experience with a cell therapy CRO/CDMO or a pharmaceutical company Travel Up to 40% travel within region and nationally Knowledge:Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as leading CRM (Salesforce) toolsDemonstrated expertise and knowledge in the drug discovery/development and manufacturing market (cell, gene therapy or, large molecules or, biologics) with understanding of the served and total markets available.Experience in acting as a liaison for the customer with internal teams and moderate communication, as needed.A partnering mindset with internal and external stakeholder groups Skills & Abilities:Strong communication and listening skills; natural at relationship building.Superior skills in presenting, consulting, negotiating, and building relationships with senior management on the client's side.Experience and comfort working with multiple cultures and ethnicities.Enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.Highly driven, self-motivated, and commercially minded individual who demonstrates strong self-motivation and a cheerful outlook.Demonstrated ability to work in an environment that requires teamwork. For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $145,000.00/year to $155,000.00/year. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
