We are seeking an Account Executive to join us in in our New York office on our growing Bioscience Communications team Bioscience Communications is a division of Daniel J. Edelman, Inc., and a trusted partner to biopharma, medical device, and emerging science companies worldwide. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a bench of credentialed strategists, content creators, and advisors, all deeply committed to working at the intersection of science and society. The Account Executive will have the ability to learn and deploy a wide variety of medical communications skills to a single, but diversified, industry that is of fundamental importance to individuals, governments, and society at large. Furthermore, employees will hone their medical communication skills alongside colleagues who have deep expertise at the intersection of science and society. Responsibilities:- - Client Service - Manage workload, meet deadlines, and pay attention to account details - Demonstrate ability to multi-task across multiple accounts/projects - Demonstrate ability to work productively with managers across multiple accounts - Display responsibility to ensure problems are solved - Demonstrate solid research skills - Demonstrate appropriate writing style in correspondence, email, social media posts, etc. - Comply with and/or improve account efficiencies (e.g. new tracking or reporting system, use of appropriate databases, etc) - Identify problems that could damage client relationships or affect the outcome of projects and apprise a supervisor in a timely manner - Demonstrate basic understanding of BioScience services and practices - Financial Management and Planning - Flagging day-to-day client budget issues to supervisors (tracking of project budgets) - Demonstrate basic understanding of financial management processes and tools - People Development - Demonstrate dedication to the BioScience team (proactively communicate whereabouts, keep teammates appraised of project status, etc.) - Be open to constructive criticism and instructional conversations designed to help improve performance or team function - Contribute to 360o performance appraisal process for peers and managers - Leadership - Live Edelman values (quality, integrity, respect, entrepreneurial spirit, mutual benefits) - Demonstrate professional behaviors and pursuit of excellence in all endeavors - Project commitment and enthusiasm Basic Qualifications:- - At least one year of relevant experience in medical communications and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media, and publishing - A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications:- - Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have previous work experience in an office setting. - Will assist account teams with day-to-day work related to medical communication programs. They must be well organized, able to multi-task and prioritize, and possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. - Must take initiative and function well in a fast-paced environment. $42, 000 - $62, 000 a year An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees.
