Forest Electric NY is seeking an Associate Project Manager to work in tandem with Project Managers, Engineers, and Estimators to support the company in meeting its objectives and goals. Perform take-off and pricing for various projects types and sizes to acquire new work. Rotate to work with Estimators andor Project Managers on assigned commercial construction projects at various locations in the area and assisting with appropriate actions to ensure projects are progressing and completed on time, within budget and with defined resources.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following, but other duties may be assigned:Collaborate with Project Managers to understand the fundamental knowledge and processes of effective project management.Partner with Project Managers andor Estimators to ensure a complete scope of work is defined and pricing review.Develop to become competent with reviewing drawings and specifications and preparing detailed estimates, including assigning material and labor values to take-off.Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systems.Develop to become competent with understanding a complete scope of work, project schedules, change orders, and subcode filings.Prepare, maintain and present computer generated spreadsheets, logs and reports.Prepare and manage communications internally and with general contractors or construction managers for assigned projects.Monitor project budgets and labor costs.Attend project walk-through meetings for bidding purposes and job tracking.Maintain regular communication and collaboration with Engineers, Project Managers and Estimators.Prepare documents for billing purposes and coordinate with accounting ply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.Travel to various project sites as required.Regular, predictable and reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of the job.PREFERRED EDUCATION ANDOR EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Direct experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit a plus.We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
