What You'll Do:The typical job duties of a Job Anchor at Audacy are:Anchor live from the studio, including breaking news and special coverage Conceptualize, pitch, develop and produce news segmentsGather, write, record, edit and deliver news contentInterview newsmakersOperate studio board while on airAdditional duties will be specified in the live job posting. More About You:Must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience anchoring or reporting newsMust be able to thrive in a fast paced all-news environment and cover every type of story including breaking news and featuresMust have excellent writing and presentation skillsStrong interview skills with experience interviewing newsmakers and public figuresProficient in editing and packaging news, audio, and interviewsExperience with and an understanding of social media and digital newsThe ability to expertly ad-lib when the situation warrants is crucialAbility to interpret and simplify complex copy and update copy on the fly as news warrantsAbility to plan, organize and multi task in a fast-paced environmentOutstanding news judgment and ability to work under deadline pressureAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentProficient in media production and broadcast systemsAbility to work flexible and irregular hoursWillingness to experiment and innovateBachelor’s degreeTo help promote and ensure the safety of all of our employees and the communities we serve, we require all incoming employees to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
