As such, GS is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key center of excellence (COE) roles in areas such as Brand, Media, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the businesses we serve.Within Global Marketing sits the Consumer marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of our ambitious consumer banking division. Working across our closely with teams in each line of business including Marcus, Card Partnerships, Embedded finance and more. The team leads messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing, and marketing analytics. The Editor in Chief will play a key role in creating modern, best-in-class content across our ambitious Consumer business spanning Marcus products, card partnerships, and embedded finance reinforcing the Goldman Sachs brand, its reputation and authority with key audiences and the general public. As a leader within Consumer bank, they will work across lines of business, brand, and across our division to build thought leadership and drive commercial growth. This is a highly-visible role that requires vision, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a proven track record of stellar performance within a competitive media organization or global, blue-chip brand. They will report to the Managing Director, Head of Consumer Marketing Position Responsibilities: Build and implement consumer-wide content marketing strategy: Develop a modern, best-in-class approach to content marketing that accelerates thought leadership among a consumer audience Oversee the full lifecycle of content marketing, from strategy and planning to publishing, distribution, analytics, measurement, and optimization Work closely with marketing leads across consumer and COE colleagues to produce high-quality content across the firmAlign with internal stakeholders on themes and areas of expertise to reinforce Consumer Goldman Sachs as a destination and authority on relevant topics Create a culture of excellence, elevating our content production standards and experimenting with new product and distribution platforms that allow us to most effectively impact and influence our target audiences Establish a culture of performance, integrating measurement into editorial decision-making to tie our content creation to commercial outcomesInnovate by finding new and modern ways to connect with audiences across Gen Z, millennial and the likePosition Qualifications:Minimum of 15+ years of experience in media, content, or communications Management experience leading a newsroom or matrixed content team at a competitive brandSuperior writing and editing skills, with an expertise or deep understanding of finance and critical issues impacting global markets Experience with content distribution, optimization, and measurement A revenue-facing sensibility with the ability to connect content and commercial outcomesInspiring leadership who can both manage and inspire a teamLifelong learner comfortable with a fast-paced, quickly changing environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfort working with senior leadership across a dynamic, global organizationDetail-oriented problem-solver who is able to employ sound judgement, critical thinking and swift decision making with minimal supervisionBelieve that our consumer business should be the best at delivering consumer financial services content and build a vision to make it happen At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
