The OpportunityReporting to the Founder of sune and General Manager of Live Shop Venture LLC, our Head of Content will work extremely close with Qurate Retail Group's Senior Leaders and outside partners. In this role you will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of video/content for our new platform experience and evangelizing the importance of content in driving business results. The Head of Content will create, produce, and help brands/sellers produce relevant, authentic, and emotional stories that strengthen customers' love and relationship with our new business and deliver $1B in annual revenue within the next 3 to 5 years.You will be specifically accountable for translating customer and business strategy into talent and content executions. You will build and lead a key start-up and scale the content team and our production operations; being strategic to select high-performance talent with fast-self-starter drive and collaborative spirit who will further help build the culture of the team. This role will support all aspects of content development, host/talent acquisition and seller/brand training for our MVP environment.Build live host success toolkit which will identify key attributes that are key to success for live host talent and help to build the toolkit to set up new host talent including training, key u2018winning' best practices. If you are innovative, soulful, and passionate with a sincere interest in changing and improving the human shopping experience, join us.Your ImpactCreate Content Strategy & Drive ExecutionDevelop a content strategy to test different storytelling formats to grow audience and engagement (host led, brand led, dual hosted, etc.)Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Product Tech to create content ideas and new executions that innovate digital live-selling and result in highly entertaining and commercial outcomesDefine the production and creative process for this new business and platformUnderstand current marketing and merchandising strategies to act as a lever for new content ideasLeverage consumer insights, market trends, and culture to inform content ideasIn partnership with the leadership team and outside partners, identify new innovative technologies that help us launch new types of connect and/or experiencesEstablish and report on KPIs that help inform Sr leadership about the success of each piece of content/live stream. Define the success measures of new shows/hosts/brands vs. established shows/hosts/brandsIdentify & Develop Host TalentLead and build a team that can identify the right talent/host for this new platform and our target audience/customerLeverage your experience and the internal expertise of QVC, develop the training curriculum and plan for onboarding new talent and ensuring they develop into highly productive and engaging sellersEnsure talent is on brand and consistent with voice, tone, and styleProvide guidance and strategy for how the talent will use their voice on other platforms (social, media, etc). to further their impact in our businessBuild a best practice community of live hosts to enable real-time sharing to creating new insights, techniques, and engagement, and sales strategies as well as follow-along posts or notifications to customersDevelop a practice and process for helping brand/sellers to identify potential talent partners for the live streamsDevelop & Support Brand/Seller ContentLeverage your experience and the internal expertise of QVC to develop the training programs that guide how brands/sellers develop highly entertaining, productive and engaging livestreams.Working with the Commercial lead, ensure that new brands meet our standards of high quality and entertaining content creation capabilities.Working with the product/tech team, help identify the key metrics and real-time reporting capabilities that will improve Brand/Seller performance.Establish practices and metrics for determining when a seller should be elevated (given more focus) or offboarded based on content metrics (e.g. views, engagement, shares, etc.)Operational AccountabilitiesHelp define, develop, and build the standard operating practices and procedures for all aspects of content and talent workflow and operational structurePartner across operations, tech, merchandising, and marketing to understand learn how content executions are performing to daily and weekly goals and outcomes and include the collaboration of the other leaders and teams for a seamless and fast-moving business operations processHelp onboard and orient new team members and internal/external partners as we begin to operationalize the business and stand up our own product and technical teams to ensure the resources necessary to deliver the agreed to market share & customer growth goals.What You BringBachelor's degree in business, Design, Photography/Film/Art, or another related field. Master's Degree preferred.10 years' experience in business development / leadership. Emphasis on brand building/leadership5 years' experience managing teams and interacting with senior level executive (C-Suite)Hard-wired insatiable focus on the customer mind-set and the emotional and literal act creating entertainment and engagement in the shopping experience on the platform. Be in an iterative ways of working to enable continuous improvements and innovations in the processProven creative content and production experience with a track record of creating compelling content across a range of mediaPassion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas - loves and embraces changeStrong strategic thinking and leadership. Base salary for this role ranges from $185,000-$200,000 plus the strong annual and long-term variable incentives noted. Salary ranges are general guideline only, and actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience and geographic location as well as business and market conditions.
