In this role, the successful candidate is a creative and skilled Photo/Video Editor (Manager) to join the Content Strategy & Development team within the Communications & Marketing (C&M) department. This important role will join a team of skilled designers to deliver high-quality and engaging work for a broad audience. The successful applicant will be responsible for owning videography and video editing in alignment with NYULHs brand guidelines.Reporting to the Production Lead (Director), this position will create and edit impactful and engaging video content for C&M, contributing to and enhancing a vast library of multimedia assets. This role will contribute to the overarching content strategy and assist other C&M teams by providing an experience perspective on digital storytelling.Job Responsibilities:Videography & Video Editing:Oversee the editing processes of photo and video assets for C&M to ensure alignment with the editorial calendar and broader content strategyEdit creative, impactful, and engaging photos and videos that convey NYULH's mission and vision for a variety of digital publicationsLeverage video editing software to enhance and tailor photo and video assets for specific projectsSupport alignment of meaningful photos and videos with the right projects to harness the maximum potential for audience impactSupport identification of mechanisms to incorporate findings from key metrics provided by the Program Measurement team for visual assets to maximize audience engagementStay up to date on emerging trends and implement innovative photo/video editing best practices to deliver excellent work and establish NYULH as a content leaderCollaboration:Oversee relationships with contractors and freelancers; conduct quality control for video and photo content submitted from external partnersPartner with the Asset Management Coordinator to organize and update the photo and video libraryConsult with the Production Lead to edit and deploy brand-aligned photo and video content for a diverse and influential audienceCoordinate with the Brand Standards and Governance Lead to ensure all photos and videos adhere to NYULH's brand guidelinesPartner closely with colleagues in the Content Strategy & Development COE to determine the most effective way to enhance photo and video content with the goal of enhancing NYULH's reputationOperational Excellence:Monitor key metrics and outcomes to gauge the effectiveness of the content strategy; adapt strategies based on outcomesChampion NYULH's strong culture of continuous improvementEfficiently and effectively execute goals and priorities while adhering to organizational standards for delivering excellent workMinimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a 5+ years of photo and video editing experienceDemonstrates a keen and creative eye for creating and editing unique photos and videos that will stand out and engage the audienceSkilled with photo and video editing software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, AfterEffects)Robust portfolio exhibiting excellent prior photo/video workAdept at building rapport and exhibiting strong interpersonal skillsPossesses a growth mindset and willingness to use a test-and-learn approachAbility to work with cross-functional teamsBachelor's degree in photography, videography, graphic design, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in the healthcare industryQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $76,721.83 - $115,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
