Job Description Job Description Video EditorLocation | Washington DC, San Francisco, New York or Chicago (Hybrid)As a Video Editor at BPI, you will edit digital brand and political ads, as well as social videos (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is capable of working independently while navigating multiple projects. In this role, you will:Edit video ads and video content for BPI's clients, including Fortune 1 companies, issue advocacy organizations and political campaignsCut social videos for deliverables across channels (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc) for both long- and short-form contentFinalize video ads and content for shipping, adding slates, closed captioning, SRT files, etc. as neededThe ideal candidate brings:5 years of video editing experience at an editorial house, in-house advertising agency, or in-house commercial production companyGreat storytelling chops (understands pacing and rhythm, shot selection and how to tell a story visually) Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere ProSolid knowledge of Adobe After Effects (ability to create basic motion graphic animations, text graphics, transitions etc.)Working knowledge of audio editing, color correction, video compression codecs and bitratesAn understanding of digital and social media best practices across channels & an interest / enthusiasm in digital trendsKnowledge of current camera, audio, and lighting equipmentExperience filming independently on location (interview style and B-Roll)Understands latest trends in filming UGC style contentStrong communication skills and attention to detail- you aren't afraid to ask questions and you don't make the same mistake twiceAbility to work independently and manage priorities with little oversightTravel Required: 15-20% Applications without a video reel demonstrating editing capabilities will not be considered.BPI is a digitally-based marketing and communications agency that makes change possible for companies and causes.
